NEW – Does Your Healthcare Marketing Extend into People’s Homes?

Create Marketing came across a couple of interesting articles over the Christmas and New Year break, and we thought they deserved closer attention here, too.

The first article comes from the New York Times, and highlights potential scenarios in a future world with hi-tech digital healthcare as a daily part of life. It’s a fascinating read, too.

Consumer health, as some are calling it, is all about moving healthcare into patients’ homes – and the trends are starting to be delivered now.

The article covers some of the current thinking, and examines why healthcare professionals need to consider online and digital tools when thinking of ways to connect with patients in 2012 and beyond.

Many hospitals and medical insurers have electronic patient records, for example, linking everything up to create easily accessible data.

Other mini-revolutions in patient healthcare, such as virtual doctors via webcams, are already being utilised. Time and cost-saving measure in healthcare will continue to be driving forces, of course.

The second article further examines the growth and spread of digital healthcare – and proves that in terms of being a competitive, forward-thinking and highly-profitable private practice in the UK, technology needs to be embraced rather than held at bay during 2012. The leaders will win.
